The Missile Defense Agency Small Business Advocacy Council (MDASBAC) is dedicated to fostering and showcasing a superior collaborative environment for Missile Defense Prime Contractors that develop and promote successful small business relationships to achieve common goals.

Further, the MDASBAC seeks to strengthen the alliance with the MDA and large prime contractors to support the agency's missions and small business goals.

Advanced Research administers MDA's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, which are the fourth largest in the Department of Defense. The agency's focus for the SBIR and STTR programs is to pursue technologies that could spur a revolutionary leap or enhancement, decrease the time required to transform them into actual applications for insertion into the Missile Defense System, and benefit from commercialization of the technology. MDA system elements submit research topics that are applicable to the needs of the Missile Defense System. Radar and Electro-optic Sensors, Manufacturing, Materials Development, Modeling and Simulation, Command and Control, and Propulsion are all example topics.

This Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) checklist is useful in determining whether your current accounting system is adequate to capture costs as required under FAR Part 16.301-3 (3).
